Enjoying the Hawaii trade winds is a Hawaiian thing, nothing like fresh ocean air blowing through the Ohana.

The only thing that might stop this enjoyment is dirty screens and I’m going to tell you the secrets of the Hawaiian Screen Guy on how to clean your screen.

Needed tools: soft scrub brush, when I say soft I mean when you rub your face it will not scratch it, dish soap to put on the scrub brush.

The first thing we do is take a piece of tape and put it at the top outside of the window screen, this shows us where it goes back.

Next we take the screen outside and we are going to pre-clean the cleans by using the garden hose, we we will be flushing the dirt off. Also we want the screens to be wet so the soap does its job.

Next, we squirt a little disk soap on the soft scrub brush, don’t need to use force, let the soap and water do its job.Scrub the screen gently, one side at a time, then hose the dirt off top to bottom.

I have a shop vac that has a blower attachment with a nozzle, if you have this you will be able to remove every drop of water. Try to use a blower when possible, look for one on the local marketplace websites.

OK, reinstall your screens with tape at the top. Doesn’t it look better and look at those Hawaiian views, feel the fresh ocean air.
